O.K....I got this email......beware this is a mushy message.

So here we go....I got this email from Kellie....she was telling me that she and James were expecting their first baby........AND that they were thinking that ........SINCE......I have photographed every important MOMENT in their life since high school......... You see....way back when......Kellie was a little girl and I was a younger lady....I worked with her mommy and to make extra money....I made hair bows and sold them. Kellie's mommy kept me in business or well she helped fund my love for clothes....so this is really where the story begins....

Also let me just say that Kellie was a beautiful little girl with the biggest brown eyes and cute brown curls.....she really was beautiful!

Fast forward many years.......I photograph Kellie and her sister Whitney....Kellie and James' Senior Portraits and I think even Prom Portraits.......then a couple of years ago.....Kellie and James asked me to photograph their wedding. What a beautiful wedding......it was done at Kellie's home and it was just perfect.

Now not to leave out James....although I don't have as much history with James, I have known his family for a very long time too and they are great people.  I really think the world of James....he is a great guy and if I could pick someone for my boys to be like....it would be him.

Soooooo back to the story....I get this email saying that she and James want me to photograph their baby because I have photographed every important event in their life.....

Now that is like the best compliment I can get.......I love this aspect of my job that I get to see people evolve thru different seasons in their lives.

So meet little Maxton.

Now let me brag on Little Maxton.....he was so alert and followed me wherever I went.....talk about eye contact.  Most newborns sleep alot and that is perfectly fine....it is what newborns do  but little Maxton had other plans.  Oh and his hair....it was so shiny and curly....and he has a cowlick right where his daddy has one.....Also although I don't remember James as a little boy....I hear he was like the cutest little boy ever soooooo.....Maxton comes by his cute looks.....naturally.

Just wanted to say how proud I am of both of you and all that you have become and I know only great things await you in Life.....he is beautiful!  Thank you for all of the MOMENTS.

So much is going on here!

Of course, it is Marathon May....You know all of the end of school activities. This is an image of Sophie with her Aunt Deb and Granny Helen at Eldorado's ( one of her favorite places to eat ) right after her Spring Musical Program for Cornerstone. She done so good. I was such a proud mommy.

Here are a few images of Sophie that I took a few days ago. She is hanging upside down from the back of the sofa.

She loves her kitty....oh by the way we have a new one.....look for those images soon.  Notice the chocolate icecream on her face....could not bring myself to take it off. Warning images are distorted and I don't have time to fix it right now....Tim says to do it again....and I am like.....NO WAY...it takes too long. So Sophie's face is not that long!

Here are a few that I shot of Brody and Sophie about a month ago.....they love these and I think they are pretty cool too. By the way, they were on top of the studio for these.

Lets see what else....the studio is coming along....very SLOWLY....crawling but I have been promised that it will go fast very soon.......I sure hope so. The kids are so excited about school ending soon. I will admit....I am too. Matthew has been fishing with his uncle in Alabama and we have been traveling every weekend for Basketball Tournaments for the boys. Tim and I have been shopping for the studio and making Studio decisions.....by the way, I have met some of the nicest people while interviewing for some positions in the new studio. Also, Tim and I will be celebrating our 20th Anniversary at the end of the month so we are going on a second honeymoon to Hawaii....the kids are bummed....they want to go to....especially Brody...he's my Surfer Dude. Chloe.....

This is Chloe. She first began in my BeBe Plan about 3 years ago and here she is now. We met for an outdoor session this time and had alot of fun. She and I sent Tim out for some water and we just played. It is so funny to see her and her daddy "fuss". She has him wrapped...and I mean wrapped around her pinky. At the end of the session, she said she wanted to take my picture so Tim helped her take it. They done pretty good.....

Then Tim wanted to take one of me and Samantha.....I think he needs some help...what do you think?

Here are a few more of Chloe....we also went to Ruby Tuesday's after the session and there was Chloe with her mommy and daddy. She told me they had an extra seat......Tim was like....where do I go....shhhhh.....I don't think she cared too much....so she came and sit with us for awhile.

 

Studio closed til Friday.

I am traveling this week on business and will not be in the Studio til Friday soooooo most calls will not be returned til next week. I will try to respond to emails....can't promise but will try.

Its my party and I will CRY if I want too.

Well this is not how the session went......we just had a little bit of a melt down.

I was recently contacted to photograph Mike Fiechter for a publication. I always get alittle anxious about these sessions. It is so out of my comfort zone. So Tim and I took off after a session to Mike's office.  I have several good friends who know Mike but I had never met him. Well......he is just as I had heard he was. We photographed and talked.....photographed and talked. I hope you enjoy them. These are not the ones that was chosen.....but these are my favorites. At I can say.....is I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these! I just love how he dug into his cake. Oh and did he know what he was doing....it was hilarious.....he would do it and look at me and mom for us to laugh. I honestly did not think I would get a clear one...in focus because I was laughing so hard. He is so much like his daddy but in the lower left image....I see momma too. Hope you enjoy!

Roadtrip....

   I went on a little roadtrip this week with a friend to visit another friend and their wife......Oh crap...it that just too....blah, blah, blah. So here we go again.....Kelly, Sophie and I went to visit John Michael and Ramona this past week and we had a blast. It was great just spending time with them. I have been so incredibly blessed with such great friends. Of course, we talked photography, photography, photography and alittle of designing for the studio. Ramona is awesome with design. Anywho.....thanks guys for the dinner and friendship! Just wish you did not live so far away!!!!!

Oh, while I was there.....I learned something new. My images are being used on my labs website for samples!!!!!! I did not even know it til John Michael told me. So here are the ones that they used. They asked me awhile ago but I really did not think that they would use them!!!!!!
